VITRINE will host a finissage with a reading by the artist presented in the exhibition space for the final day of Charlie Godet Thomas' solo show 'Little Sound' at VITRINE Fitzrovia.
'Asides and illustrations' is a set of actions and readings in which two performers, referred to simply as “the writers”, move through the exhibition highlighting connections, disconnections and linguistic slippages. These subtle interventions reanimate the works which form the exhibition Little Sound. “The writers” bring the fabric and context of the gallery into sharper focus and playfully experiment with ideas of time, value, the inside and the outside.
'Asides and Illustrations' is performed by Charlie Godet Thomas and Kennedy Jopson. It has been developed by Charlie Godet Thomas in conjunction with his solo presentation Little Sound at Vitrine, Fitzrovia.

Charlie Godet Thomas (b.1985, London, UK. British/Bermudian)currently lives and works between Mexico City, MX and Essex, UK. He studied a BA in Fine Art (Sculpture) at Manchester School of Art (2009) and an MA in Fine Art (Sculpture) at the Royal College of Art, London (2014), where he was awarded the Bermuda Arts Council Scholarship and the Peter Leitner Scholarship. Past residencies include: Fundación Casa Wabi (2023); Caribbean Linked IV at Ateliers ’89 in Oranjestad, Aruba (2016); Tarrant County College, Fort Worth, Texas, US (2017); and Atelier Mondial, Basel, CH (2017).
