'Tardigrade' is modelled on the microscopic, 8 legged micro-animal of the same name, that is known to survive harsh conditions such as the vacuum of space and nuclear radiation. The artist has 3D modelled one and then cast 15 editions in jesmonite of which he has hand finished with black gloss and created a custom built, handmade stand. The work stands in similarity to the way in which Kendrick approaches his NFTs, to create collectible items from popular hype culture such as toys and trading cards.
