To commemorate ART FLEA at Stroud Vallery Art Space, Stroud Life have published a fantastic feature with emphasis on John Walter’s project in association with Meantime Project Space. ‘The John McCririck Memorial Bar’ is a hybrid of painting, hospitality and performance and will take place on Saturday 18 May. Opening Friday 24 May is system · painting · construction · archive, a group show exploring the roles of Constructivism in contemporary practice. The show features work by Vitrine’s Clare Kenny alongside Andrew Bick, Cullinan Richards, Stuart Eliot, Robert Holyhead, Maria Lalic, Karim Noureldin, David Rhodes and Brandon Taylor. Running between 25 May and 15 of June, the show will take play at The Lion and Lamb on Fanshaw Street.

Art Review have published a fantastic piece on ‘Time’, the group show curated by Clare Kenny at Oslo10. The exhibition takes its title from John Szarkowski’s ‘The Photographer’s Eye’, with ‘time’ being one of five concerns emphasised as key to the understanding of photography. Art Review expands on this, writing that the works ‘play dare with the very questions of immediacy and authorship that delayed photography’s acceptance into the art canon’. Read it here.
Alys Williams, director at Vitrine, will be curating the group show Mass. En Masse. Mass Medium. at Cafe Gallery, London. The show, which will feature work from Rick Buckley, Leah Capaldi, Karen Cunningham, Justin Eagle, Keith Farquhar, James Lewis, Maria Marshall and Natasha Rees will open on Tuesday 21 May and run until 23 June 2013.
