Tarek Lakhrissi is exhibiting in the group show ‘Antibodies’ at Palais de Tokyo, Paris, FR until March 2021.

Lakhrissi presents his new installation 'Unfinished Sentence II', comprised of 30 metal spears with sound and light. The theatrical weapons are styled on 90's pop culture heroins such as 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Xena: Warrior Princess' , and provide an ambiguous form of defence for those in struggle. "Lakhrissi's fanciful weapons point in all directions: they oscillate with the movement of visitors between mythological past, utopian future and contemporary reflections on queer and queer identities. racialized. The battlefield may also be that of self-construction"

"The worldwide experience of lockdown and the adoption of social and physical distancing have made us reconsider the idea that our bodies are sealed units. Did we forget how porous we actually are?

The exhibition Antibodies platforms the voices of 20 artists from the French and international artistic scene. With recent and new works they take the pulse of our ability to bond together and help us rethink how we inhabit the world." (Palais de Tokyo)
